A new biography, The Reluctant Monarch, suggests the present Swedish King, Gustaf XVI, a cousin of the UK's Queen Elizabeth, has spent a fortune on sex parties and strip clubs.

At the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, Gustaf reportedly spent $10,000 in the Gold Club nightclub and this including two hours in a room alone with one of the strippers.

Swedish Mafia-linked club owner Mille Markovic is quoted as saying he liked having the King as a customer because it reduced the possibility of police raids.

After one particular elk hunt, Gustaf is said to have had sex with two women at the same time.

Reportedly, the Swedish secret service, Sapo, has helped Gustaf by searching the homes of women in order to confiscate photos taken at the King's private parties.

According to the book, "If the rolls of film and pictures aren’t turned over, some unpleasant things will happen".

Gustaf's son, Prince Carl Philip, befriended Sofia Hellqvist, who has posed wearing nothing but a python and a G-string.

Gustaf's younger daughter, Princess Madeleine, was once seen as a possible bride for the UK's Prince William.

Princess Victoria is the heir to the throne.

She married her personal trainer. (dailymail.C)
