BIRMINGHAM; MUMBAI-STYLE ATTACK

Birmingham Town Hall by Parrot of Doom

We learn in October 2010 that, over the past 12 months, the British security services have practised for "a Mumbai-style attack and in Birmingham the emergency services conducted a secret exercise." ('plotting Mumbai-style attack on cities')

On 30 September 2010, The Independent reported that British police and security services 'recently' held an unpublicised exercise in Birmingham, in the West Midlands, to rehearse scenarios to deal with a Mumbai-style attack on the UK. (Mumbai-style commando raid plan 'uncovered')

According to The Telegraph, 30 September 2010, "David Cameron, the Prime Minister, asked to see details about preparations for a Mumbai-style attack when he was notified about the plot around two weeks ago...

"He was shown the results of a training exercise in the West Midlands earlier this year involving police marksmen, special forces and the emergency services." (British 'behind Mumbai-style plot')

According to the Daily Mirror on 4 October 2010, "in preparation for a Mumbai scenario, police and soldiers have carried out joint exercises near Dover." (CIA-NATO Gladio-style terror threat of attacks on tourist ...)

"The easiest way to run a false flag attack is under the cover of a military exercise," says Captain Eric H May, a former US intelligence officer. (THE NATO LINK TO THE MADRID BOMBINGS OF 2004)

The 7 July 2005 London Tube Bombings occurred the same day as a government terror exercise.

A few hours before the Madrid Bombings, NATO carried out a terrorism exercise in Madrid. (Translate this page)

"The chances of a terrorist attack occurs within hours of the completion of anti-terrorist exercises, as in Madrid, or the same day that they are developing, as happened in London, or New York on 9 11, is one in millions." (Translate this page)

It is believed by some people that the CIA and its friends may have used a private military group to carry out the Mumbai attacks. (TRIPLE CANOPY; THE MUMBAI ATTACKS)

Some people believe that the CIA and Mossad would not hesitate to attack the UK. (The Americans murdered Mountbatten and Thatcher's friend Airey Neave? / THE REAL TERRORISTS; THE ATTEMPT TO BOMB THE HOUSE OF COMMONS.)

Gilbert Arenas: Perfecting the Sad Face

crying indian
Crying Indian sheds a single, dramatic tear for Gilbert Arenas.

Gilbert Arenas -- formerly Agent Zero, Hibatchi, The Clown Prince of the NBA, etc. -- was a real poopy pants during training camp. It may be hard for a lower middle class schmuck like me to imagine how somebody making nearly $18 million dollars this year to play basketball could be so forlorn and miserable, but Arenas is accomplishing the hell out of it.

And I thought Iron Eyes Cody had mastered the Sad Face. Not so!

Gil's latest words of woe, via Michael Lee of the Washington Post, are as follows:

"I lost all feeling a long time ago. Basketball is basketball now, no matter what floor I'm on," Arenas said with a shrug. "It's just basketball. It's not rocket scientist. You go out there and you just play."
Well, I'm glad to know basketball is "not rocket scientist." And could that "I lost all feeling a long time ago" line be any more emo? Even the most die-hard Twilight fan would be too embarrassed to scribble that line onto their official Forks, Washington stationary right before crying themselves to sleep in the arms of a Team Edward teddy bear.

And that's saying something. I think.

Here's another one. After giving the semi-cold shoulder to former teammates Brendan Haywood, DeShawn Stevenson and Caron Butler before last night's exhibition game against the Dallas Mavericks, Arenas said:

"My job is to not make friends. My job is to help this team win and saying hello to my old teammates was not part of the job."
Huh. I guess Gilbert forgot to take his human being pills yesterday.

TONY BLAIR SPEAKS OUT ON MOSLEM TERRORISM

The following is a rough translation from a Telugu text and may not be accurate:

The good guys are being "outspent, outmanoeuvred and out-strategised" by the fascists in the Pentagon and NATO, Tony Blair has warned. (West 'outmanoeuvred' by fascists)

Blair said that there had been a failure to challenge the "narrative" that the world was oppressed by terrorists, rather than by the fascists.

Blair said that too many people accepted the media's analysis that the military actions taken by the West following the false flag 9/11 attacks were justified, and that the Israelis were not terrorists.

"We should wake up to the absurdity of our surprise at the prevalence of this fascism," he said.

"Look at the funds the military-industrial complex receives.

"Examine the education systems that succour it.

"And then measure, over the years, the paucity of our counter-attack in the name of peaceful co-existence.

"We have been outspent, outmanoeuvred and out-strategised."

Speaking in New York to the Washington Institute of Aromatherapy, Mr Blair warned that it was impossible to defeat fascism "without defeating the narrative that nurtures it".

Moderate Muslims who believed in co-existence and tolerance were, he said, being undermined by the willingness of the Western military to promote fundamentalist groups.

Ecuador Coup Attempt Engineered by the CIA

The CIA tipped off Mugabe on Ecuador

05 Oct 2010

"Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe was tipped off against going to Ecuador by the America Central Intelligence Agency, as they had information about an impending political upheaval [aka their coup] in the volatile country, Zimdaily has learnt.

"Despite posturing about anti-American sentiment, Zimdaily has it on good authority that Mugabe abruptly cut short his trip and returned to Zimbabwe after the CIA warned him of a threat to his personal safety if he went ahead with the trip."

Turkey and China conducted the drills in Turkey in September 2010.

The war games, codenamed the Anatolian Eagle, were the first involving Turkey and China.

Turkey had previously carried out Anatolian Eagle maneuvers with the US and other NATO members as well as Israel.

Turkish F-16, Chinese Su-27 and Mig-29 fighter jets took part in mock dogfights during the drills.

The maneuvers come ahead of a planned visit by Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao to Turkey.

Turkey and China took their first step in military cooperation in the late 1990s with joint missile production, manufacturing weapons with a 150-kilometer range, the Hurriyet daily reported on its website.

The Drain already hurt. Try to act surprised.

I just read this totally unsurprising bit of news on the ESPN NBA Rumors page:

Jermaine O'Neal missed a second consecutive practice on Monday due to a tight left hamstring and will be shut down for the week as a precautionary measure. He will miss the first two exhibition games against the 76ers and Nets.
So The Drain is already hurt and has to be shut down for the week? Before appearing in a single preseason game for the Celtics? He must have been forced to do demanding and rigorous things during the C's practice sessions. Like maybe deep breathing and standing in place.

For the record, O'Neal ranks first among NBA players I could see straining a hammy while just standing. Carlos Boozer ranks a very close second. Greg Oden doesn't make this list because his hamstring would probably erupt out of his leg and try to strangle him if he so much as thought about standing up.
Head coach Doc Rivers says he won't take any chances this early in the year and will give time to the rookies.

"I just think that, when you look at [Shaquille O'Neal] and Jermaine, and think they can play 82 healthy games -- that'd be nice, but we have to be ready for them to miss a couple games and be able to play through it," Rivers told ESPNBoston.com. "That's why guys like Luke Harangody and Semih Erden are so important. Until Kendrick Perkins comes back, they're going to have to play, one of them at least."
Let's recap: Drain and The Big Geritol were Boston's two great offseason pickups, yet Doc Rivers has so little confidence in their ability to stay healthy that Luke Harangody and Semih Erden have apparently become critical to the Celtics' championship aspirations.

Luke Harangody and Semih Erden.

The sound you just heard were the Vegas oddsmakers scrambling to lower Boston's chances at making it back to the Finals next summer. Either that or Phil Jackson laughing. Or maybe Red Auerbach's soul crying out in despair from the afterlife. Take your pick.
O'Neal say he isn't worried about the hamstring, but defining his role on the team.

"I'm not really concerned about [the hamstring]," O'Neal said. "I'm more concerned about being in with the guys and getting that chemistry up. The first four days [of camp] were really good. Wednedsay, Thursday, and Friday [at camp], I was just starting to get comfortable with the system, the philosophies that Doc wanted and also playing with those guys. It's very difficult to learn areas of an offense and defense when you're not in there. That's probably the most frustrating part about it, but I don't have any doubt in my mind that I'll be back in there soon."
No doubt. Then back out of there. Then back in there. Then back out of there...
