On 28 March 2011, Brian alerted us to the Letter From Russian Doctors In Libya To The President Of Russia.

Today, 24 March 2011, ... the target of bombing is a barracks of the Libyan army, around which are densely populated residential areas, and next to it – the largest of Libya’s Heart Centers.

Bombs and rockets struck residential houses....

In the maternity ward ... a wall collapsed and part of the roof.

This resulted in ten miscarriages whereby babies died; the women are in intensive care; doctors are fighting for the women's lives...

We and our colleagues are working seven days a week, to save people.

This is a direct consequence of bombs and missiles falling in residential buildings resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries...

The large number of wounded and killed, as happened today, is very much greater than anything that happened during the riots in Libya...

The United States and its allies are thus carrying out genocide against the Libyan people – as was the case in Yugoslavia, Afghanistan and Iraq.

After an abortive coup attempt in late February, the situation calmed down in Libya and the government had successfully restored order.

To everyone in Libya, it was clear that without American intervention the country would soon return to normal life.

Libyans ... are entitled to free treatment, and their hospitals provide the best medical equipment in the world.

Education in Libya is free...

When marrying, young couples receive about 50,000 U.S. dollars...

Cars ... are affordable for every family. ...

In February, the peaceful life of the people was violated by gangs of criminals and insane drugged youth – whom the Western media for some reason called “peaceful demonstrators”...

We understand that when all the foreigners leave and no one will tell the truth (the small staff of diplomatic missions have long been silenced), the Americans will arrange here a bloodbath.

US CONTROL OF THE MEDITERRANEAN

The Mediterranean Union was created in 2008.

It includes Israel, but not Libya.

This Union will no doubt be a tool of the American Empire.

1. The Mediterranean Sea is the main battle front in the world.

2. The Mediterranean is to be part of the the US empire.

3. Almost all the Mediterranean nations are tied to NATO and the US military. The exceptions are Syria, Lebanon and Libya.

(Cyprus is not in NATO but has military bases of use to the US and its allies.)

4. Libya is also one of only five of Africas countries that have not been integrated into the U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM).

The others are: Sudan, which is being balkanized.

Ivory Coast, now under the threat of foreign military intervention, linked to AFRICOM.

Eritrea, where 5,000 U.S. and French troops are based.

Zimbabwe.

5. Lin Zhiyuan, deputy director of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Academy of Military Sciences:

"By building a dozen forward bases or establishments in Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria and other African nations, the U.S. will gradually establish a network of military bases to cover the entire continent and make essential preparations for docking an aircraft carrier fleet in the region.

"The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) with the U.S. at the head had [in 2006] carried out a large-scale military exercise in Cape Verde, a western African island nation, with the sole purpose of controlling the sea and air corridors of crude oil extracting zones and monitoring how the situation is with oil pipelines operating there.

"[A]frica Command represents a vital, crucial link for the US adjustment of its global military deployment. At present, it is moving the gravity of its forces in Europe eastward and opening new bases in Eastern Europe.

"The present US global military redeployment centers mainly on an ‘arc of instability’ from the Caucasus, Central and Southern Asia down to the Korean Peninsula, and so the African continent is taken as a strong point to prop up the US global strategy.

"Therefore, AFRICOM facilitates the United States advancing on the African continent, taking control of the Eurasian continent and proceeding to take the helm of the entire globe."

TUNISIA - IRAQ STYLE DEMOCRACY

Tunisia: the new Iraq. George W. Bush talked about 'democracy' taking hold in Iraq and then the region.



On 19 January 2011, the Dutch Foreign Minister Uri Rosenthal is reported as saying that he is "very concerned about the way things are developing in Tunisia."

"Fidelity and its affiliates helped dozens of Americans and other foreign workers leave the country over the weekend." (Cisco latest firm to suspend Tunisia operations)



In Washington, "Undersecretary for Management Pat Kennedy has approved the authorized departure of dependents from Tunisia." (Tunisia.)



"Men in unmarked cars had been driving around Sousse and shooting random people out of their cars." (RI blogger reporting from center of unrest in Tunisia)



According to Oxford historian Mark Almond (What comes next could be even worse‎):

"President Obama has welcomed the changes in Tunisia...

"The discontent in Tunisia will only increase. Tourism has been for Tunisia what oil is for its neighbours. The mass evacuation of Western holidaymakers is a warning of further economic troubles to come..."

Tourists will not enjoy shootings, riots, bodies in streets... horrific‎



Are NATO security services involved?



Jan. 16 (Tunisian security forces arrest eight foreign nationals) - "The Tunisian army and security forces arrested eight foreign nationals including four Germans, the Tunisian television reported Sunday.



"Tunisian TV showed footage of the men arrested, as well weapons, maps, electronic equipment and identity papers.



"The group was travelling on board three taxis, when they were intercepted.



"They are said to have entered Tunisia on Jan. 9.



"Some of them were wearing military outfits."

We should not forget that the CIA has supported Islamists in such countries as Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq and Kosovo. (THE CIA'S MOSLEM FRIENDS, FROM BIN LADEN TO THE MOSLEM BROTHERHOOD.)

Tunisia's Islamists seem to be getting a bit of a boost from the media.



On 18 January 2011, the Guardian has an article by Soumaya Ghannoushi entitled 'Tunisians must dismantle the monster Ben Ali built'



Among the points she makes:

1. The people have to forge a coalition of socialists, Islamists and liberals for real change.



2. "The sense of despair and profound humiliation Arabs felt with the toppling of Saddam's tyrannical regime by the US contrasts sharply with their euphoria at the ousting of Tunisia's dictator."

3. In Tunisia, "the apparatus of repression laid down by Habib Bourguiba, Tunisia's charismatic 'founding father', was fine-tuned by the general who inherited it."



4. The task now facing the Tunisian people - is to build a wide coalition of the forces that can dismantle the legacy of the despotic post-colonial state.



This has been the driving force for the alliance being forged between the Communist Workers' Party, led by Hamma al-Hammami, the charismatic Moncef al-Marzouqi's Congress Party for the Republic, and (Islamist) Ennahda, led by my father Rachid Ghannouchi, along with trade unionists, and civil society activists.

Among the points made:



1. the US-Tunisian bilateral relationship is likely to remain unaffected by the departure of Ben Ali.



2. X recently told the Ambassador X that Ben Ali wants to avoid the "difficulties" that arose when Tunisia's first president, Habib Bourguiba, declined in 1987.



Some people may state their hope that U.S. and European pressure could force Ben Ali to ... relinquish the presidency.



3. POSSIBLE SUCCESSORS



Minister of Defense Morjane: affecting the credibility of succession scenarios is an oft-repeated notion that the US is favoring Morjane in the succession race.

May 2010 - General William E. Ward, commander of U.S. Africa Command, visited Tunisia and met Tunisian Minister of Defense Ridha Grira.

October 2010 - Sakhr El Materi, chairman of the Tunisia-US Parliamentary Friendship Group, had talks with top Americans in the Pentagon and the State Department.



November 2010 - A cable from the US embassy in Tunis released by wikileaks describes Tunisia's President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali's family entourage as a "quasi Mafia" because of its "organized corruption".



17 December - Mohamed Bouazizi, a 26-year-old university graduate, reportedly set himself alight in the central Tunisian town of Sidi Bouzid in a protest over unemployment.



Tunisia's current president is President Fouad Mebazza.

Was Tunisian army chief General Ammar part of the plot to topple Ben Ali?

According to the Independent (Head of Tunisian army.):

General Ammar "advised the President, claim Arab sources, that his safety could not be guaranteed if he attempted to cling on to power.

"Gen Ammar subsequently withdrew the vast bulk of his forces from the capital...

"Walid Chisti, a political analyst, said: "He does not have to do anything, just watch and wait. He is an ambitious man."

CIA-NATO COUP IN TUNISIA?

There were unconfirmed reports, late on 12 January 2011, that Tunisian president Zine el Abidine Ben Ali has been toppled in a military coup, and replaced by General Rachid Ammar, a friend of NATO.

These reports would appear to be premature.

There have been unconfirmed reports that the military has been preparing a coup. (Curfew ordered in Tunisian capital)

"According to Tunisian opposition sources, army chief General Rashid Ammar was removed for failing to carry out orders, and was replaced by Ahmad Shabir, head of the Tunisian secret service." (Curfew ordered in Tunisian capital)

"Prime Minister Ben Ali made no public appearances on 12 January 2011, increasing speculation that his 23-year-old regime may be nearing its end.

"The Egyptian newspaper El Wafd has reported that his wife and children have already fled for the United Arab Emirates, and the New York Times reports that other Ben Ali relatives have also hastily departed." (Curfew ordered in Tunisian capital)



How might a CIA-NATO coup be organised:

Get the IMF to cause economic discontent.

Hide the fact that Tunisia has been a relative success; and emphasise corruption.

Arrange some protests.

Get the police to shoot some protestors

Bring in the army to take control.

Enter Soros and McDonalds and the US military.

Tunisia's President Bin Ali has done a lot to build a sound economy.

Living standards are as high as in oil-rich states such as Libya.

"Special funds for micro-credits and employment did wonders in poverty alleviation and job creation in the 1990s and beyond." (Bin Ali - Al Jazeera English)

A comment at the Guardian web site (Tunisia's single-president politics.) sums it up:

"Most Tunisians could not care less who rules them, so long as the eceonomy keeps growing (which it does), the Islamists are kept quiet (which they are), the poverty rate remains very low (4 percent - compared to about 15 percent in the UK and US), the education system provides their kids with a decent education (the best in the Arab world), that they have access to a first-rate health system (free of charge), and that the government does not invade their private lives (prostitution is legal and regulated, for instance; CCTV cameras do not follow your every movement)..."

But, the USA and its friends want a Tunisian regime that will allow in lots of American companies, and that will follow the dictates of Washington and Tel Aviv.

And, the USA and Israel like their Arab friends to be backward, feudal and easy to control.

Today Tunisia.

On 4 March 2004, the Madrid Bombings took place.

"The easiest way to run a false flag attack is under the cover of a military exercise," says Captain Eric H May, a former US intelligence officer.

Former Secretary General of NATO, Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, described it as a "coincidence" that, on 4 March 2004, there was an anti-terrorist exercise (CMX-04) in Madrid, finishing just a few hours before the bombings.

The NATO counterterrorism exercise involved an imagined attack which would kill 200 people.

This number is very close to the number of fatalities that occurred in the actual Madrid Bombings.



The 7 July 2005 London Tube Bombings occurred the same day as a government terror exercise.

On the same day of the London bombings Peter Power gave interviews on BBC Radio 5 Live[52] and ITV[53] saying that he was involved in an exercise "based on simultaneous bombs going off precisely at the railway stations where it happened this morning". He also gave an interview to the Manchester Evening News where he spoke of "an exercise involving mock broadcasts when it happened for real".[54]

On 9 11, there were government terror exercises.

The airline manifest of Garuda airlines shows that at least two generals from Jakarta travelled to Bali three days before the bombings and that they returned to Jakarta one day before the Sari Club was blown up. (Bali Bomb - inside job.)

This was confirmed by armed forces chief General Sutarto, who claimed that General Djaja Suparman was on vacation, while General Ryamizard Riyacudu, chief of staff, was said to have gone to Bali for health reasons.

General Suparman is allegedly one of the generals behind certain 'Moslem' militias.

He reportedly set up militias to counter student demonstrations in 1998.

One of these militias, Pram Swarkasa, allegedly became Laskar Jihad.
