This ultra luxurious yacht is the work of Brazilian company Intermarine and BMW DesignworksUSA. Set to be launched in July 2011, the Intermarine 55 measures 57 feet in length (17.4 meters) and can accommodate six people and one sailor. Rooms include a salon, galley, three cabins and two bathrooms.
Unusual design features such as the large upper windows that offer a generous view of the sea and the shape of the hull side windows give the Intermarine 55 a striking look and a strong identity. The portholes of the yacht are integrated into the large trapezoid shaped windows, enabling more luminosity and visibility in the interiors.
The yacht also features elements from the automotive industry, such as the lines that model the hull and the air intakes in stainless steel. The bow reminds of a rear-wing from a racing car and individualizes the Intermarine 55.
Inside, the yacht provides openness and space and draws inspiration from modern architecture. Natural light and reflections create a warm and comfortable environment, while access to outdoor areas is made easier through open transitions.
